On the first day of autumn, the Metta homestead joyfully opened its doors to around 120 people from all over Slovenia. You came sunny, smiling, sincere and warm-hearted. We gathered at the Ecovillage Day, the 11th in a row, organized this year by the sustainable movement Transition Slovenia. With our meeting, we marked the European Day of Sustainable Communities (September 23, European Day of Sustainable Communities). Thousands of groups across Europe are working on social transformation from the bottom up. The 11th day of the ecovillage was one of hundreds of points across Europe where we embraced synergy and inspired each other and our surroundings. The solutions are actually simple and within everyone's reach!
